In September 2017, the Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi had launched its true bezel-less smartphone the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. But the device was launched with Android Nougat 7.1 OS. Well, there is good news for all Mi Mix 2 users as the company has started Oreo Beta program for the Mi Mix 2. It somehow confirmed that the device would soon receive the Android Oreo OS update.
It may be noted that the Oreo Beta program is closed beta so the only limited number of the users can join the program. The users who will register under the program will get Android Oreo update based on MIUI 9. The users can visit MIUI official website to register themselves for the program. The company has not stated anything when it will release the stable build. It is expected that within one month the Mi Mix 2 users will get latest Android Oreo 8.0 based on MIUI 9 update.
The Mi Mix 2 is the true bezel-less device of Xaiomi. It has a 5.99-inch FHD display and gives 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution. Contrast Ratio is 1500:1. The device carries a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-Core processor. The clock speed is 2.5GHz. It also has an Adreno 540 GPU. There is no doubt that the device will give better multi-tasking experience.
Coming to its camera section, the users will get a 12 MP camera on its rear side and features Sony IMX386 lens. It has a 1.25μm pixel size, gives f/2.0 aperture and sports 4-axis optical image stabilization. The camera also supported by a dual LED flash, OIS, and PDAF. On the front, it has a 5MP camera, and it features facial recognition. The Aperture is f/2.0, and the lens supports 1.12 microns Pixel Size and 4p lens. On the rear side, the users will also get a fingerprint sensor.
The device is backed by a 3,400mAh battery. It is running on Android Nougat and MIUI 9. The Mi Mix 2 supports 4G VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. Under the sensor, it comes with ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, hall sensor, and barometer
