In September, Xiaomi launched its Android One device named Xiaomi Mi A1. When it was launched that time, the device had Android Nougat version. But the company informed that soon it would get Android Oreo update. Following that, Xiaomi rolled out the Android Oreo update for the device in November with November security patch. Now a new report informed that the company has rolled out another OTA update for the Mi A1 and it brings latest security update, i.e., December Security patch.
The new update size is around 153 MB. The update will boost the performance of the device. It brings more stability to the Mi A1. The users of the Mi A1 can now download the update package by going Settings then About Phone and now check for the system update. It will now check for the update.
The first Android One smartphone from Xiaomi, the Mi A1, has a 5.5 inches FHD display with 1080 p resolution. It has a 2.5D curved glass in the top of the screen to give the display better protection. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor. Inside, it carries a 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. It can be expanded up to 128 GB using a Micro SD card. The Mi A1 comes with a dual rear camera set up, i.e., a 12 MP wide angle lens and a 12 MP telephoto lens. The camera features dual-tone LED flash, dual PDAF, and 2X Optical Zoom. It carries a 5 MP camera on the front with different photography modes.
It features infrared sensor, fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It comes with unibody metal structure and curved edges.
The device is powered by a 3080mAh battery and supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and more. The device carries a price tag of Rs. 14,999 but recently it has got price cut of Rs. 2000.
