The Sony Xperia L has established itself as a very strong mid range Android smartphone but the lack of software updates has kept it down for a while, that is about to change with the Android 4.3 official update coming in next month. Our source at Sony India that earlier confirmed that the Xperial L won’t get Android 4.4 KitKat has just sent in a piece of information stating that the Android 4.3 JellyBean will roll out globally starting next month. The update will be deeply focused on Bug Fixes so there won’t be many new features to play with but considering the issues such as “Battery Drains” after the Android 4.2.2 update which must do the trick for most users.
It is still sad that the Xperia L owners will have to do without KitKat as it would have opened many doors for the the future. The update will be available via OTA (Over the Air) and you can start checking for it once it is available in your region/country. Also keep in mind that the Android 4.3 update will be the end of updates for the Xperia L so it will be essential to get this update for a smooth performance on your device.
