It seems that Samsung has decided to capture not only a majority share but an outstanding 90% of the worlds smartphones as leaks revel their future plans that none other can still give us a hint of, while some these are official there are some that are not yet confirmed by Samsung themselves.
The 2014 flagships devices from Samsung (Galaxy S5 & Note 4 Maybe) are going to break the specifications barrier with 64-bit processors and 1440p displays (yes 1440p). In slides released Samsung confirmed future plans to develop its own CPU core technology, as presently they are licensing designs from ARM. The slide on Samsung’s 64-bit CPU shows a two-step approach, first developing 64-bit cores based on ARM designs, then a self created one (Same as Qualcomm). The plans could be a sign for more integrated experiences on Samsung’s phones as the current Exynos SoCs makes use of Cortex A15 and A7 designs licensed from ARM. We must also not avoid the fact that a 64-bit processor will offer greater than 3GB RAM with ease and this shall make Multitasking a Breeze. The other slides shown by Samsung revealed plans for 560ppi AMOLED panels with an RGB subpixel arrangement. As we know the screen will not be smaller than 5Inch and PPI going up to 560 hence a on a 5.25Inch screen the resolution calculated is a 1440p (2560×1440) display (Samsung also released a phone with a curved 1080p display named Galaxy Round recently so flexibility may also be a part on the new displays).
Well this all sounds pretty sweet to me ! What about you ? Let us know in the comments section below.
