With Nexus devices leading the charge, Marshmallow 6.0 has been expanding it’s share in the market and what’s better than Samsung Galaxy’s for this purpose ?. In our initial take on Samsung’s plan to update it’s Galaxy smartphones to the latest version of android, we listed quite a few devices but as you must know not all of them qualified for the update till then. Today we have the latest update roadmap that confirms more devices and it is nice to see Samsung taking a greater effort in delivering the loyal fans with the latest android has to offer.
As you can see aboive Galaxy S5 has finally made the cut and will be considered for marshmallow 6.0 update. Other devices that have been approved are Galaxy Alpha, A7, A5, A3, E7, E5 and the newly launched Galaxy A8. However the released will happen around March next year so it’s not very soon, but considering that these devices aren’t of flagship status we didn’t expect the update to show up any sooner if it ever did. Sadly the Galaxy S4 and Note 3 did not make the list even in phase 3, which is most likely the final list.
To recap what changes android 6.0 Marshmallow brings for the Samsung Galaxy’s, we have attached Samsung’s official Marshmallow info-graph below. Android 6.0 marshmallow isn’t about aesthetics but features that ensure you get more control over how your devices acts, which may not turn a lot of heads around but is for sure one of the biggest step in the ever growing Android Operating System.
Update : More devices might still show up.
