Android 5.0 Lollipop update has been on every Samsung Galaxy flagship owners mind for quite sometime now and while the Snapdragon 801 variant (SM-G900F) has already started receiving an update to Lollipop 5.0 the Exynos variants stand in line next. In an new information from our sources at Samsung India it has been tipped that the update for the Galaxy S5 (SM-G900H) and the Note 3 (SM-N9000) is expected to show up anytime this new year. The update will be Android 5.0.1 which is well know Bug Fix to the base Android 5.0 Lollipop that Google released a while back running on the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9.
The update will be very identical in terms of features and User Interface to what we have already seen in the official version of the European units of the Galaxy S5 and the leaked ones for the Note Phablet from last year. You can expect a smoother and faster experience all over with the tweaks of Material design in Samsung’s own way. It has been established that Touchwhiz on Android 5.0 Lollipop is believed to the most fluid and stutter-less UI that the Korean Giant has delivered.
The update will be available in India first, which is the primary market for the Asian variant’s and will initially come in OTA (over the air) update, while the Samsung Kies release will follow shortly.
