The rumors and leaks are turning up like they always do before one of the most awaited smartphone launch of the year from the Korean giant Samsung. The Galaxy S5 will be Samsung’s Galaxy S line flagship device for the year 2014 and a latest report from inews24.com (Korean media news website) suggests that it will be launched at Mobile World Congress 2014 in February instead of an dedicated Unpacked 2014 event from Samsung. The report does seem to have a strong source on this as, at New Year’s party at in Seoul, Samsung’s Vice President and Head of Design Strategy, Dong-Hoon Chang, reportedly confirmed that the rumors of an announcement at the MWC are “about right”. Well such indications from a top of line official can’t just be ignored if you are a smartphone enthusiast so this might treated as the very first “Tentative Time Frame” for the Galaxy S5 launch in 2014.
Galaxy S5 may have a Metal Build + Flexible Display variant
Luckily Mr. Dong-Hoon Chang spilled a little more information than just the MWC 2014 launch for the Galaxy S5 when he added saying that the Galaxy S5 would be made out of a “new material,” and that the company is reviewing whether it should put a flexible display on the device. You must have got the relation as of now I am sure, there is a simple 2+2 = 4 maths out here that results in considering that the Galaxy F isn’t just the Metal Build variant of the Galaxy S5 but also it may support a Flexible Display somewhat complimenting its name “Galaxy F”, also keep in mind that the inclusion of a flexible display could suggest that the Galaxy F would be produced in limited quantities and rather costly as well. There is still a lot to find out about Samsung’s plan for 2014 and with the CES 2014 on 6th Jan some of it will be “Exposed” so stay tuned.
