The Indian Smartphone market hasn’t been updated to a wide 4G LTE support yet but that doesn’t mean people aren’t future proofing, especially when it comes to buying a smartphone as expensive as a two wheeler. The Galaxy S5 launched in India with the Exynos Processor like all it’s predecessors but this time around Indian consumers did not welcome it due to the lack of 4G LTE, as currently one of the biggest network provider in India is expanding it’s 4G coverage and another is on the verge of launching it. It seems like Samsung has been forced to comply with Indian’s this time as a Mumbai based retailer suggests that the 4G LTE variant of the Galaxy S5 (SM-G900I) will be coming to India soon.
According to this retailer the Snapdragon 801 version (SM-G900I) will be priced at 56,000 INR initially, this is very high compared to the Exynos one put up at 51,000 INR at launch back in April 2014 (It is now available for around 35,000 – 38,000INR). The prices will go down eventually so expect something around 45,000 in a few weeks after the launch, making it in line with the HTC One (M8) that has the same Processor and Network support.
