With the launch of Galaxy Note 3 this month at the IFA its mate Galaxy gear showed off some modern features that were not present in any smart-watch till date, most of these were made considering the Samsung Touchwiz UI’s modern day features. This was a pretty good thing for Samsung as Note 3 was supporting all these features but considering the fact that Note 3 isn’t company’s Ace in the card game of smartphones what remained a big question was when will these Galaxy Gear functionality make their way to the already most famous smartphone of the year candidate the Galaxy S4 which has managed to surpass the 20 million sales mark within 3-4 months of its availability. Taking the fastest selling spot in the Samsung’s galaxy smartphones above its predecessor the Galaxy SIII from last year the Galaxy S4 has been stuck on the android version 4.2.2 for a while now and now its finally time when it supports the Galaxy Gear and more with the Touchwiz skinned Android 4.3 update.
Today Samsung’s executive vice president for marketing at the company’s mobile division Lee Young-hee has revealed that the Galaxy S4 will get support for the Galaxy Gear smart-watch by the end of October while the other two top-dogs in the galaxy family the Note 2 and SIII will make you wait till year end for the same. Well this rises hope for all the Galaxy S4 owners out there who are not so happy with Samsung’s update schedule being later than HTC for the HTC One which is already receiving update to android 4.3 all over the world (Except all carrier versions though).
