With android 6.0 Marshmallow Google made it clear that it’s not always about the aesthetics but also stability and minor upgrades. Talking about stability Samsung Galaxy devices have always seemed to be missing that edge we would appreciate over the plethora of features that they embed into the Touchwhiz UI. However marshmallow is expected to bring yet another major change in the game and today we have a copy of Samsung’s plan to deliver this update to all it’s eligible devices. The list this time is pretty long and shall make a lot of loyal galaxy owners happy if not completely amazed, you can see the attached update roadmap below or browse through the complete list of devices and see if your device will make it.
As always the recent flagships top the charts and are confirmed to get the update sooner than later. What’s really interesting is that Samsung is willing to work with some old devices like the Galaxy S5 and some budget offerings like the Galaxy E series too.
Complete list of devices in the android 6.0 marshmallow update roadmap :-
- Galaxy Note 5
- Galaxy S6 Edge+
- Galaxy S6
- Galaxy S6 Edge
- Galaxy Note 4
- Galaxy Note Edge
- Galaxy S5
- Galaxy Alpha
- Galaxy A8
- Galaxy A7
- Galaxy A5

At this point the update is waiting approval for even the high end devices like Galaxy S5, Alpha and A8 but we believe that they will make it eventually. Talking about the less fortunate ones like the Galaxy S4 and Note 3, it is nothing which we didn’t expect as they are past their glory days.
