This comes as a big disappointment for all the owners with the Exynos Octa-Core chipset in their Galaxy Devices and it was confirmed by none other than Samsung’s senior technical expert, Oleg Artamonov himself. Both Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 will not be able to support a “True Octa-Core” functionality by the means of an update in the future (Not by Samsung at least) as this will result in generation of larger amount of processing heat that the two devices are not designed for.
Well after the statement made by Samsung about the True-Octa Core processors and the following announcement by the Chinese Smartphone Manufacturer Meizu which makes the use of Exynos 5410 Octa-Core chip in their latest Flagship MX3 that they will provide a software update by the end of the year to make all the Eight cores (Quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7) work simultaneously it seems the two Samsung Top-Dogs for the year 2013 will still be Dual-Quadcores after all. Let us know what you think about this move that Samsung pulled in the Comments section below.
