Samsung hasn’t been very active in releasing Windows Phone over the past years and now the recently identified ATIV SE for Verizon Wireless seems to change that. Thanks to “The Verge” we can now comment on the specifications the ATIV SE will come with, the sad part is that the device won’t boot Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box but an update soon after the launch isn’t something to worry about.
Major Specifications of Samsung ATIV SE
- Display : 5 Inch Super AMOLED Full HD (1080p)
- Processor : Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Quad-Core @ 2.3Ghz
- RAM : 2 GB Ram
- Graphics : Adreno 330 GPU
- Camera : 13 MP Primary & 2.1 MP Secondary
- Storage : 16GB In-Built, Micro SD Capable up to 64GB
The device will be made available in April on Verizon’s network serving as a good alternative to Nokia dominated Windows Phone department with their latest Lumia ICON. There is no confirmation on an International variant of the ATIV SE and chances are that Samsung isn’t going to make one too, but if they do then this would be a good choice for the all the Windows Phone fans around the Globe (Which are increasing day by day). Going with a Samsung Windows Phone 8 you will surely miss on some great App’s that are exclusive to the Lumia Range, so do consider that before making a final decision as you are going to sign-up a two year contract most likely.
