Redmi has confirmed that the long-awaited Note 13 series will finally make its debut in September, with as many as three ARM-based models contentiously hitting the market. Initial reports had pegged the launch for October – the same month in which the Note 12 series was announced in China last year – but when details of the Note 13’s TENAA certification emerged earlier this month, rumors of an earlier launch began to swirl.
Now, reports have officially been confirmed. The Note 13 lineup is scheduled to be unveiled at 7 PM local time on September 21st, with two of the models – the Pro+ 5G and Pro 5G – shown in leaked images which indicate a high-end design. Both handsets feature curved-edge screens and AMOLED displays coupled with an in-screen fingerprint scanner, signaling Redmi’s desire to appeal to more tech-savvy users.
This week, Redmi confirmed that the Note 13 Pro+ will come with the Dimensity 7200-Ultra chipset. The device may be packing a 5,120mAh battery offering support for blazing fast 120W charging. Its design is expected to include a leather back with camera rings protruding out. Other Pro model, the Note 13 Pro, may come with a glass backing and raised camera island. Both premium devices are said to have a 200-megapixel primary camera, and further reports suggest that only the Pro+ may offer OIS.
Apart from these two devices, Redmi is also expected to announce the Note 13 5G. It is unclear what specs this version will get, unfortunately. Meanwhile, rumours hint at a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset for the Pro model and that it may have a 5,000mAh battery pairing up with 67W fast charging tech. Stay tuned for more official news!
