Here we are chasing a dream worth a million dollars, with Nokia’s Normandy leaks emerging at frequent intervals. In case you are not aware, the Nokia Normandy is supposedly the first Android Device (prototype) from Nokia and today evleaks have shined some new light to it by presenting some screenshots that according to them are Nokia’s launcher over the Android OS. Have a look at these screenshot yourself, they are right below.
Nokia Normandy Specifications and Features.
As you must have noticed the design for the Normandy looks like a mix n match between Nokia’s Asha & Lumia line of Smartphones (It is nice to see that, I love the way the Lumia’s look). Talking about the UI the first thing is the Lock-screen which is rather plain with notifications popping up in widgets along with “time-date standard” for any lock-screen you must have seen. The second screenshot displays an active call with standard features like the contact photo, keypad, mute Etc. The third screenshot is simply Skype for Android. To add to all this the notification icons are white (KitKat Standard) with a dual SIM CARD slot.
This was all from evleaks and the Nokia Normandy rumors is still not finished. Another leak from a website NokiaPowerUser.com today showed some screenshots where Nokia Normandy was tested by the famous AnTuTu benchmark app, so we can see some of its specs. Nokia RM-980 A110 codenamed Normandy reported featuring a 4″ FWVGA display (480×854 pixels), a 5MP rear camera and runs on Android 4.4.1 KitKat. While the chipset powering the Normandy is Qualcomm Snapdragon. So it is a low end device after all. At this moment these leaks are something that you should not get very excited about as part of the Nokia-Microsoft deal Nokia can’t sell Nokia-branded phones for two years and as Nokia hasn’t been turning profits lately so a new brand is unquestionable. Also a new brand wouldn’t do the trick as Nokia’s name is what people have depended upon for decades. Feel free to share your views in the comments section below.
