The Android budget king from Motorola (now owned by Lenovo), the Moto G has been a success in US and European markets till yet and it is finally time that Indian’s may get one too. The Moto G has now been made available in India, Motorola is partnering with Flipkart for the sales (as Motorola has no business in India for a long time now). The price is very competitive at just INR 12,499 ($200) for the 8GB variant, the 16GB goes a bit higher at INR 13,999 ($225) which is not much considering the device misses out on a Micro SD slot.
What’s here to make a note about is that the Moto G launched in India is a Dual-SIM model, similar to the one that made its debut in Malaysia for the Asian markets. The device is running on Android 4.3 for now, coupled with Motorola’s home cooked features. The Android 4.3 out of the box is certainly a mood spoiler considering that KitKat is already available for the Single-SIM American version of the Motorola Moto G, though there is a promise that says it will get KitKat in the coming weeks. Also considering the Moto G’s fine specs and performance, it will provide a very good alternative from Samsung and Micromax obsessed entry level android segment that has a major share in growing markets like India.
