Motorola after having actively contributed in the development of Google Nexus 6 has also officially announced the names of it’s smartphones that will get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in the near future. Moments after the official unveiling of the next major version of Android, Motorola took an initiative to inform it’s loyal customers about the Android 5.0 Lollipop update through their blog and the best part is that the list is long enough to make everyone happy.
We have seen Motorola excelling in terms software updates, since Android 4.4 KitKat came out and it continues to outshine the rivals once again. The Android 5.0 Lollipop update will be provided to the following Motorola devices :
- Motorola Moto X (1st & 2nd Generation)
- Motorola Moto G (1st & 2nd Generation)
- Motorola Moto G 4G LTE
- Motorola Moto E
- Motorola Droid Ultra, Maxx & Mini
As you can see even the $100 priced Moto E is up for an update to Android 5.0 which was until now not confirmed, speaking about the total impact Motorola has once again proved that software support goes a long way. If you happen to have something other than a Motorola or Nexus then hope Samsung, HTC, Sony, LG Etc. finally learn something from their mistakes of keeping their loyal customers in the dark.
Please make a note that Motorola hasn’t yet provided a release date for the Android 5.0 lollipop update, so stay tuned for more updates.
