Motorola has taken their flagship device Moto X to a whole new level in terms of latest OS with Verizon’s support as they are now rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Verizon Moto X. The update is live and many users have also reported that they have successfully received it in OTA (Over the Air). If you are a Verizon Moto X owner then this might be the day you can rub everyone’s face in it as no other Non-Nexus smartphone has tasted Android 4.4 KitKat yet (Not even HTC One & Galaxy S4 Google Play Editions). Some of the key improvements in the Android 4.4 Kitkat that Motorola spread light on were :
– An improved Android 4.4 phone dialer.
– New gallery effects such as Posterize, Highlights Etc.
– New Hangouts app.
– The Google Keyboard now includes colorful emojis.
– An updated camera app lets you control both the focus and exposure of your photos.
– Restyled status and navigation bars.
– New full-screen mode.
– Enhancements to Motorola features like Touchless Control.
The other carriers are supposed to follow Verizon Wireless, though a specific date was not mentioned. While announcing the 4.4 KitKat Update for Verizon Moto X, Motorola made a very bold statement on their official blog and I personally think they earned this one.
