When Google reviled the Google Editions for the two most popular android smartphones of 2013 HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 it came up as a good effort from them, fast and timely updates were promised by Google themselves and everyone believed them as both these smartphones were running on STOCK ANDROID (Nor HTC Sense or Samsung Touchwiz UI ispired at all) but when it came to competing with Nexus line of Smartphones and Tablets they still are lagging behind on Android 4.4 KitKat update. Nexus 4, Nexus 7 (Wifi Model) and Nexus 10 all were recently treated with Android 4.4 KitKat and it finally looks like HTC One Google Edition is next in line (Galaxy S4 Google Edition will be the last it seems ! Booh Hoo Samsung). HTC has now submitted the KitKat code to Google for the HTC One Google Play edition. As seen on the official HTC Twitter account.
Well this does not confirm when but it better than never and we hope that Google makes its customers happy as they are responsible for the update now. Also it seems that HTC is trying to secure their way out of customers growing hatred for the “Lagging Update”. Let us know what do you think about this delay in the comments section belpow. Also do you think Google is not making enough efforts for the Google Editions or is it just the destiny of these devices for not being “Any Generation in the Nexus Family” ?
