The HTC Desire Eye, has been in the talks for a while now and today a set of leaked images have emerged to support it. The images however aren’t of the best quality and user comments over at GSMArena point to them being “Fakes” which might be true in our opinion too. All the three images show the Front of the Device which holds a 13 Mega-Pixel “Selfie Camera” with a led flash, sadly the Boom Sound Speakers have apparently gone missing. It is said that the speakers are still present and just not visible above and below the display, but we can’t really confirm it till we see it.
The other reason these images might be fake is well explained by a user comment that quotes as “These pics just don’t look authentic enough to look like press images. The camera module (which looks like its from a nokia lumia 930) has been photoshopped onto the stereo speaker area (and the stereo speaker holes have been filled in white) of the desire 820 and some extra editing has been done to the edges of the phone to make them look more squarish. Even if I am proved wrong about these things, still the existence of a desire series phone with snapdragon 801 and a 1080p screen does not make sense as that would make it a flagship. Desire phones have never been flagships, and besides that, I don’t think htc would like to overshadow the desire 820 which became official barely a month ago”
Only time will tell if this is a fake or the real thing, HTC Desire Eye is expected to be featuring a 5.2Inch Full HD (1080p) display, Snapdragon 801 SoC (quad-core Krait 400 processor at 2.3GHz) and 2GB of RAM. Along with those a 32GB internal storage, 2,400 mAh battery and IPX7 certification for water resistance. It may go official at HTC’s Event that scheduled to take place in New York on 8th October 2014.
