Huawei has started to release Android Oreo update for its device. Recently, it rolled out Android Oreo update for some of its devices like Honor P10, Honor P10 Plus, Honor Mate 9, Honor 9, and Honor V9. Now, a new report has informed that the company will soon roll out Android Oreo 8.0 update for two more devices, i.e., Honor 8 and Honor 8 Plus.
During an interview with a Serbian website, George Zoa, CEO, Honor informed that currently, the developer team is testing the Android Oreo beta version for the Honor 8 and Honor 8 Plus. Soon the test will get finished, and the company will release the stable Android Oreo update for these two devices.
Informing more about the update program, George stated that, the company is also planning to release Android Oreo update for some other devices. But he has not revealed those devices name. However, a report says apart from the two devices. Honor 7X will also get the update soon. The device is only launched in China, and it will also introduce in the global market. However, both local and global variant will get the Android Oreo update. As per the report, the update will bring EMUI 8.0, new security patch, AI assistance, battery life improvement and more.
Honor 8 Pro comes with a 5.7-inch display and gives 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution (515 PPI) and the Honor 8 comes with a 5.2-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution (423 PPI). Honor 8 Pro is powered by a Kirin 960 1.8GHz Octa-Core processor and backed by a 4000mAh battery. Honor 8 has a Kirin 950 SoC with same clock speed and powered by a 3000mAh battery. Both the devices carry same camera configuration, i.e., a 12 MPP rear camera and 8 MP front camera. Honor 8 Pro comes with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM. On the other hand Honor, 8 offers 4GB of RAM and 32 GB of ROM.
