With numerous leaks in the previous weeks ! that rhymed quite nicely :), there is very little left to the imagination about the 2014 android flagships from Samsung and HTC. Samsung has been able to capture all the attention from its Galaxy S and Note line of smartphones in the Android arena, while HTC has produced some very handsome looking smartphones but has failed to make “the next big thing” yet. With the Galaxy S5 just 3 days away from its official launch and HTC M8 a.k.a One+/One Two set for 25th next month its about time to put them in an early fight and have a look at all they have to offer.
Samsung Galaxy S5
The galaxy’s have managed to make Samsung the “Shot Caller” in the Android platform globally, so there is absolutely no chance that the Galaxy S5 turns out to be a weakling. The Koreans have managed to create enough hype for the launch planned on 24th and the leaks have shown some pretty nice specifications that the Galaxy S5 shall come bearing. This time Samsung is also expected to handle the “Build Part” right with a premium version of the Galaxy S5, that is expected to debut a few weeks later after the standard Galaxy S5. Let us have a look at the specifications for both the versions indicated by the leaks till date.

HTC M8
When it comes to making a flagship device , HTC has been the best in terms of design but sadly they have lacked in more demanded areas. The HTC One from 2013 was one fine looking piece of metal for sure, but the use of UltraPixel 4Mp camera had its downside, low resolution being the obvious enemy. HTC has managed to create some hype for its this year edition to the One from their newly cooked Dual 5Mp UltraPixel camera with Dual LED flash. However looking at the things apart from the new camera there is a tint of “outdated” to specifications the HTC M8 has. Have a look yourself below to get a much clear idea of what I am trying to point out.
- Name : HTC One+ / One Two / One 2104 Edition
- Build : Aluminium Build (Similar looks to the HTC One)
- Display : 5 Inch Super Clera LCD3 Full HD (1080p)
- Processor : Snapdragon 800 Quadcore @ 2.3Ghz

Conclusion
The end to these flagship wars isn’t easy, there are more than just spec-sheets to consider when we are analyzing the smartphone for different people. If you are a full on “Geek” then the Galaxy S5 gets a clear win here, there is just no defeating those specifications. If you are regular smartphone user then the HTC M8 is as capable as the Galaxy S5, because the specifications it has are more than enough to power any application or android version available till date, hence the Galaxy S5 might seem like an overkill. All in all both the manufactures have tried to make the best Android flagships, which only makes it better for the customers while things get settled you may use the comments section below to make your opinion count.
