The most popular Android custom ROM is no longer “Just a ROM” earlier today Steve Kondik (Founder) announces the foundation of CyanogenMod Inc. The company will be initially funded on a budget of $7 Million and is expected to grow further as all companies try to. The people behind CyanogenMod have been at it for quite a while but it was no one’s guess that it will come so soon. The top individuals of the new company will also include Koushik Dutta (author of ClockworkMod Recovery among other things) and Kirt McMaster (co-founder of Boost Mobile) as CEO. Steve Kondik also made a statement that they will try to take CyanogenMod Inc. on a path of significant growth over the time to line up as the THIRD LARGEST MOBILE PLATFORM after iOS & Android. This is not some big words as all those who are familiar with CyanogenMod are aware that the list of their Device Support is pretty long. Also what comes as a fact is that CyanogenMod has been used by many individuals over the stock firmwares Eg. Samsung’s Touchwiz & HTC’s Sense in spite of them being more feature rich and propriety.

Well as this is already a threat to Windows Phone 8 & Blackberry OS there is another fact that makes the CyanogenMod Inc. on the good side on the war of operating systems in the smartphone kingdom. This will be their new advanced installer that will install the CyanogenMod easily through a Software installer and no need for the whole Rooting & Flashing massacre. This will help new users as they will be able to perform such actions with ease. The App is expected to hit Google Play Store in the Coming weeks.
