The one update that has been on every flagship owners mind is Android Marshmallow 6.0 and if you happen to have a HTC One M9 tied to a Canadian carrier you are in for a treat. In a tweet earlier, the company’s US VP of Product Management Mo Versi revealed the plans of pushing the OTA’s starting tomorrow itself. The Carriers that are taking part will be Sasktel, Rogers, Wind, and Videotron.
On the other hand Mr. Mo Versi answered some queries about the Sprint and T-Mobile One M8’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in the States. He mentioned that the update is under process and shall be available this month itself (1/25). Unlocked units of the HTC One M9 and M8 started getting the Android Marshmallow 6.0 OTA’s last month, and now it’s time for the carrier versions to follow up. HTC has been rather quick with updating their flagships in the past and it has been that way this time too, while Samsung and Sony are getting there HTC seems to dominate when it comes to Android Marshmallow.
As always, once the OTA’s start rolling out it will reach individuals at different time frames, so keep a check for the update notification and if you are eager enough, then you can check for it manually by going to Settings > Software Updates.
