If you were not living under a rock then you must know about the very long ongoing battle between Apple and Samsung. There were reports earlier in January, Reuters reported that Samsung Mobile division and Apple CEO have agreed to schedule a meeting where they would attempt to settle things out of court, but now it seems like there will be a legal battle after all. There was a public statement from a Samsung spokesperson quoting as “we can’t confirm whether the two CEOs met, or if they did, what the results were.”
Anyone can assume that the CEO’s have failed to reach an agreement from the statement issued by Samsung. According to the court rulings by now, Samsung has to pay $930 Million to Apple as fine for infringement of patents causing damage to Apple, while Apple isn’t happy with the numbers at all and wants things to be more harsh on Samsung. The San Jose Court in California had given the companies time till 19th February to settle things down but as this isn’t going to happen there will be a final verdict from the court itself. Stay tuned for more updates and let us know what are the fair means to end this war in the comments section below.
