After being initially revealed on the Nexus tablet’s a few weeks back, Android 5.1.1 lollipop has finally reached everyone’s favorite Nexus device, yes the LG Nexus 5. At this point the update wont’t be available to the users who aren’t either aware or don’t wanna go the factory image way, as Google has posted the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Update Images on it’s developers portal for the Nexus 5 and Nexus 4 recently. If you know what those are for and wanna get to it then wait no more, please proceed. However if you don’t know what a factory image does or how it is used we advise to wait for the official OTA Update that should be out soon now.

As already known, the Android 5.1.1 brings Minor tweaks and bug fixes to the Android 5.1 Lollipop update. There is no significant visual change here, so it isn’t about looks this time around. Also note that the Memory leak bug introduced in Nexus 5 with the Android 5.1 update isn’t yet fixed and is supposed to be taken care of in the next major release, that might be dubbed as Android 5.2 Lollipop. The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop build for the Nexus 5 goes with a Build Number LMY48B and is sized at 579 Megabytes. About the official OTA (over the air) updates release, as soon as they start we shall let you loyal readers know.
