After being found running on the Samsung Galaxy S5, the Android 5.0 Lollipop has surprised user of the Galaxy S4 too. Sammobile has recently acquired a Test Build of Lollipop 5.0 LRX02E intended for the International variant of the Galaxy S4, there are a lot of changes that Lollipop 5.0 brings for the last year Galaxy S flagship owners. Sammobile was kind enough to flash this build and make a video preview for the curious users, you can find it attached below.
As you can see Samsung is bringing the Touchwhiz UI from Galaxy S5, to the Galaxy S4 along with other Lollipop features. The Stock Apps have been updated too following the guidelines of Google’s Material Design language that we have been hearing about since Google I/O back in June. Now Sammobile was clear enough with the stability of the build, hence they have not posted this firmware for public release yet, the Build is still in it’s early development periods and hence isn’t a daily driver material.
Just yesterday we discussed the possibility of Samsung updating Galaxy S5, S4 and Note 3 to Android 5.0 Lollipop directly, skipping the long due Android 4.4.4 KitKat update and this test build for the Galaxy S4 speaks in favor of it. Stay tuned for more updates on Android 5.0 Lollipop development for Samsung devices.
