With all the eyes focused on the Galaxy S5 launch next week, there is a leaked “Application form” that apparently comes from Samsung India software division detailing the release date and changes for the Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Galaxy S III and Note II(Both LTE and 3G models have been illustrated). There is not solid proof that this is the real deal though, as the mode of accruing this form has been kept anonymous, the changes and improvements are of basic nature for each of the two devices.
Talking about the details from the leaked information, Samsung Galaxy S III is scheduled to start receiving the update on 20th next month, while the Note II owners will wait until 5th April. The changes that the update brings involve the bug fixes from Android 4.3 which might turn out be fascinating for many, other than that the Galaxy S III is also lined to get KNOX which didn’t accompany the Android 4.3 update released recently. Talking about the Note II the “S-Pen Enhanced” does manage to catch most attention, maybe its finally time the Note II gets the Quick Menu feature from its elder brother the Note 3. Keeping in mind that the Android 4.4 update did not come with any major changes for Samsung’s 2013 flagships the Note 3 and Galaxy S4, this is quite acceptable for the ones almost 2 years old now, do let us know your views in the comments section below.
