The HTC One had just started tasting Android 4.4.2 KitKat in United Kingdom after a long wait since it’s release and it has now been temporarily suspended. The update seemed to be causing some unnamed issues for the users who adopted it, though there isn’t a mention of the exact details by HTC themselves, user reported several bugs out of which battery drainage was most acknowledged. UK wasn’t the very first to receive the android 4.4 update for the HTC One in the continent of Europe and there aren’t any complaints from the other regions yet, so this may ask for a little more effort from HTC.
HTC’s Statement to Android Central
We are aware that a limited number of HTC users are experiencing difficulties with the KitKat update. As a result, all FOTA updates have been temporarily suspended. HTC is committed to providing customers with the best possible mobile experience and we are working hard to resolve the issue quickly
So for now its not going to be a happy time for all the HTC One owners in United Kingdom and considering that HTC is already too occupied by their plans to launch their next flagship, the HTC M8 in just 20 days from now things might not get better very soon. Feel free to share any issues you might have experienced after updating your HTC One to Android 4.4.2 update in the comments section below.
