At the beginning of the year its all hot, its all new and its a rampage out there between Smartphones & Tablet manufactures from all around the globe and different platforms. Today there is a new leak getting the heat from all tech-blogs (even XDA-Developers) as its the new iteration of Samsung’s Touchwiz UI that is set to debut with the Galaxy S5. The king of leaks, evleaks has posted some screenshots on their twitter account which they indicate, belongs to the Touchwiz UI cooked over Android 4.4 KitKat, have a look at them yourself, they are right below.
Well as you must have noticed by now, these screenshots imply a much flatter look for the major app icons, the Phone, Messaging and Internet which are now totally revamped. The other big change that can be spotted is the magazine like widgets for the Home Screen, that looks somewhat like a combination of Samsung’s Magazine App launched with the Note 3 and HTC’s Blink feed (I personally don’t like both, so count me not spooked at all). Now this new Touchwiz UI (considering the possibility it is) is supposed to come over Android 4.4 KitKat and hence the flatter look may be a good idea, but the icons like the Gallery, S Memo, Samsung Hub and Video seems just the same as they are now and this tends to draw attention towards the fact “Not a great effort” from Samsung. Well the Galaxy S5 isn’t that far from its official launch ( Supposedly Mobile World Congress next month) so the truth shall be revealed soon until then you be the Judge, Is it good enough ? Feel free to share your views on this new Leaked Touchwiz UI in the comments section below.
