The Japanese electronic giant may have decided to put an end to it’s flagship Xperia Z series, but that isn’t keeping them from making it up to all the people who did confide in it. Starting today the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Sony Xperia Z5 is live, and it’s a global release. The update started popping up within the last twenty four hours and has since been spreading all around the world. For now Thailand, Russia, Algeria, MENA Arabic, Saudi Arabia, United States, India, and Malaysia are the among the ones confirmed to be seeding this update.
The good news is that both Single and Dual SIM models are getting this update, making the three models in total – E6653, E6683 and E6633. There is one catch however, at this moment the update is limited to Sony’s PC Companion app while an OTA is expected anytime soon. The update will take your Firmware version to 32.1.A.1.163 (from Lollipop to Marshmallow).
