HTC One gets Android 4.4 KitKat finally.

HTC One is a pretty awesome device and now it will be sweeter too, the Android 4.4 KitKat update has finally reached the “Normal” variant of the device, its has been over two months when the Google Play Edition of the HTC One got Android 4.4 KitKat in November , which was then succeeded by the Developer Edition. HTC promised to deliver the update within 90 days from the release of the version 4.4 Kitkat and in a way they did manage to fulfill it, getting into the “when and where” French SFR carrier took the gold medal in the continent of Europe, seeding the Android 4.4.2 KitKat to the HTC One units on its network via OTA (over the air).

The update will reach more and more regions, but it will take some time so sit back and wait for it. Meanwhile keep an eye for a downloadable firmware file if you wish to manually flash the Android 4.4 on your HTC One.

Update : The announcement from SFR has now been retracted, so no update for the HTC One on SFR yet. Sorry to get you hopes up.
